How does tieTrust use the user account information that I provide?
tieTrust uses the information you supply in your user profile and account settings to personalize the emails and other communication we send to you. Your personal details are not disclosed on your site report page. tieTrust will not sell or give away your personal information to any other person, company or organization, unless:
- It is required by law, or;
- You expressly agree to us giving out your information

tieTrust uses the information submitted in website feedback forms to assess the validity of the feedback submitted. Visitor email addresses and IP addresses are kept strictly confidential.

How does tieTrust use the website information that I provide?
All website details that you provide are published on your site report page for visitors to read.

Do you record IP addresses?
Yes. Your IP address is recorded when you initially sign up for a member account. Your IP address is also recorded each time you log into the account area. These measures are taken to provide greater protection to members and the information stored in the tieTrust database.

IP addresses of visitors who submit merchant feedback are also recorded. This is done to help assess the validity of the feedback and to help ensure that visitors don't submit multiple feedback for the same website.

What are cookies and does tieTrust use them?
A cookie is a small piece of data stored on a visitor's local computer drive, and is used by the website to identify that user. Cookies can only be accessed by the website that created it. tieTrust uses cookies to keep track of user login sessions as well as to keep track of the identity of a visitor's referrer. Once a member logs off the tieTrust site using the Log Out link the session cookie is deleted from their computer. Once a user creates a member account, the referrer cookie is deleted from their computer.

How about other web sites?
tieTrust contains links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of these websites. This Privacy Policy applies to the tieTrust website only.

What is tieTrust's policy on 'spam'?
Spam is defined as unsolicited commercial email. When you sign up for a member account and accept the Terms and Conditions, you expressly agree to permit us to send you emails regarding the tieTrust service.

tieTrust has a zero tolerance policy towards affiliates soliciting spam to promote our service. If you have received what you believe to be an unsolicited email from a tieTrust affiliate, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
